What are dermal fillers?
The fillers we use at the practice are all comprised of hyaluronic acid, a substance that exists naturally in our skin. When we are young, our skin’s supply of it is substantial and it is hyaluronic acid that’s responsible for us having young-looking, smooth skin that’s full of volume. As we age, the body doesn’t make the same amount of hyaluronic acid as when we’re young – this normally starts around the age of thirty – and the onset of ageing gradually begins. Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers replace the skin’s stores, restoring a younger-looking you. What happens during treatment?
We will assess your suitability for hyaluronic acid dermal fillers and create a bespoke treatment plan that factors in your overall facial aesthetic and unique features. Dermal fillers are administered with a fine needle and applied to the areas of the face you wish to have treated. As soon as treatment is complete, you can leave the practice and resume your day-to-day activities as normal.
